1. Socialization of the production of today television program is a new trend in Vietnam. This trend has posed many challenges for television stations, partners and related entities in many fields: content management, personnel structure, building development strategies, especially maintaining the propagation orientation. Therefore, this thesis with methodical research into socialization activities is a necessity which can help contribute to further improvement of the quality of Vietnamese Television and best meeting the information and entertainment needs of audiences.
2. In the process of conducting this research topic, the thesis systematizes and generalizes the basic theoretical framework and practical issues of socialization of television program production in Vietnam. In particular, it clearly specifies “Socialization of television program production is the process of expanding the participation and attracting investments from individuals, organizations or enterprises into one or more stages in the process of producing television programs – which is the work of a specialized organization in the field of television of Vietnam State”. Especially, the thesis points out the necessary requirements and conditions to develop socialization activities in a healthy and right direction.
3. The thesis surveys and comprehensively evaluates the current situation of socialization activities of producing television programs in Vietnam today at the following aspects: (1) The development of this activity in Vietnam (2) Partners involved in socialization (3) Forms of socialization (4) Types and contents of socialization programs (5) Methods of managing this activity.
4. On the basis of surveying the current situation of this activity combined with many different research methods, the thesis points out success and drawbacks of the research subject and issues raised in the process of socializing television programs in Vietnam.
The main success of socialization activity is to create a wide variety of television programs on the basis of expanding the social resources.
The main drawback is that there is a significant development of TV programs but lack of appropriate management resulting in many programs with low quality, lack of identity and their operation mainly focusing on commerce.
At the same time, the thesis also poses problems need to be addressed: (1) Cognition; (2) Orientation and planning; (3) Production and management capacity; (4) Construction of mechanism and policies...
5. Based on the findings, the thesis forecasts the future development and proposes 9 solutions to find development strategies which are efficient and suitable for socialization activities. These solutions focus on such problem groups as: Awareness – Policies – State Management and Resource enhancement.
